  • In 1984, Chevrolet introduced an off-road package for drivers who wanted to take their Chevy Blazers four-wheelin'. The package included larger tires, front tow hooks, Bilstein shocks, and other modifications to accomodate off-road enthusiasts. Chevrolet made the hydraulic clutch standard for its 1984 Chevy Blazer. Cruise control was optional, and in 1984 the feature was redesigned to allow the driver to increase or decrease the set speed by one mile per hour at a time.

1984 Chevy Blazer drivers tended to love their trucks, reporting that they were reliable and could be driven anywhere. They kept their trucks for many years and miles, often recreating them as monster trucks.

This is a Beautiful 1984 Chevrolet Blazer

The S-10 Blazer came standard with a 250 cubic-inch, six-cylinder engine. This engine was rated for 115 horsepower at 3,600 revolutions per minute. Three bigger engines were offered as options in 1984. These were a 160-horsepower, 305 V8, a 165-horsepower 350 V8 and a 130-horsepower Diesel 379 V8. Manual three-speed and four-speed transmissions were offered in the 1984 Blazer as well as TH350 and TH700-R4 automatic transmissions. The hydraulic clutch became standard in the 1984 Blazer. Front and rear axles are General Motors' 10-bolt, 28 spline axles. Although Blazers were offered in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive throughout their production,1984 Blazers were only offered with four-wheel drive. Optional cruise control was offered as in previous years. But in 1984, cruise control included the feature to allow drivers to increase or decrease the speed they had set by a single mile an hour at a time.
