General Motors (GM) manufactured performance-oriented variations of their W-Body sedans; they include the 2005 - 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, the 2006 - 2009 Chevrolet Impala SS, the 2008 Buick Lacrosse Super, and the 2006 - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. These cars came with a 5.3L / 325ci transverse-mounted V8 engine that was rated at between 290 - 303 horsepower. These cars are also all Front Engine / Front Wheel Drive vehicles, unlike most of GM's other LS-series V8 engines (which are typically Front Engine / Rear Wheel Drive). As a result, these vehicles can be very difficult to find performance (or even replacement!) parts for.
Partnering with Batteries Plus Bulbs for your new Pontiac battery will also make you an environmentally-conscious consumer. Ninety-nine percent of car battery components are recyclable and 87 percent of our replacement batteries are comprised of previously recycled materials. We are a proud recycler of car and truck batteries. Let us recycle your old 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP battery for you.
Polished, forged aluminum 18-inch wheels (P255/45R18 in front and P225/50R18 in reaer) offer a unique feature for the 2008 Grand Prix GXP. The front wheels are eight inches wide, while the rear wheels are seven inches wide. The tires are W speed-rated. Wider front wheels help the GXP achieve a more neutral cornering stance and optimize the inherent handling characteristics of a front-wheel drive-vehicle.
