The 1997 Geo Metro removes the base sedan from the lineup, leaving the LSi as the only sedan option. A convenience package is available on the LSi, and the hatchback now comes with a slightly larger engine. There are also two new color selections for exterior paint.
The 1997 Geo Metro is small. Some might even say it is one step away from being a go-kart. Perfect for the budget conscious driver, it is available at a low price point. With unique styling, slow response, and little to offer in the way of options, it offers little more than basic transportation.
The 1997 Geo Metro comes in nine color options, which include super grape metallic, azurite blue metallic, and white. The shape is protruding in the back and rather distasteful. It comes standard with 13-inch wheels. The LSi also comes standard with intermittent windshield wipers and an optional rear window wiper to increase visibility.
My 97 geo metro will not start when I turn the ignition key. The radio will work, buzzer etc when I turn the key halfway to accessory, I can jump it with another car and it will start. If I turn ignition key to start, there is absolutely no crank, no sound, no clicking indicating a bad battery. Could this be ignition module, bad battery, voltage regulator, starter?
