  • I can honestly say that I love every single generation of 98 Oldsmobile. This generation is my favorite followed by the downsized last of the RWD models. (My least favorite is the first FWD models of the late 1980s.) These cars are big IN YOUR FACE Oldsmobile as it was meant to be.

Tyron James, 31, of Dumas was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass north on South Oak Street at 9:20 p.m., Arkansas State Police said in a crash report. He drove through the street's intersection with West Waterman Street, where his car was hit by an eastbound Chevrolet truck, police said.

  • The North Shelby community was rocked when four students were in a car crash on Sept. 24. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Nicholas Von Thun was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile 88 that ran off the north side of Mo. 168, about 4 1/2 miles east of town, at 9:30 p.m. and overcorrected the vehicle, and it overturned numerous times.

    • Two people — one who the 911 caller said appeared to be unconscious — were transported to the hospital after a three-vehicle accident at 2:56 p.m. Sept. 21, in the roundabout at the intersection of Lake Road and Woodbury Drive. An Oakdale woman was cited for failure to drive with due care. Two vehicles stopped at a yield sign and the Oakdale woman's 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada rear ended a Woodbury driver's 2015 Chevy Silverado, which rear ended a 2014 Chrysler 2LM. A state accident report was completed.

  • During a work shift on Oct. 11 around 6:30 p.m., a woman looked out the window of her office inthe 2500 block of Hils Court to see her 1998 green Oldsmobile Aurora sedan driving away. She reported the stolen vehicle to the Menomonie Police Department, telling them she may have left the keys in the car and that there was about $10 of gas in the tank.
