The adjustable fuel pressure regulator is CNC machined from 6061 T-6 aluminum for strength and durability and black anodized for a great underhood appearance. It comes in a universal version that includes a universal mounting bracket for installation on any vehicle, and direct-fit version for Honda/Acura race engines that comes with hardware and mounts to the OE fuel rail or AEM High Volume Fuel Rail. The universal regulator features a 1/8 NPT port to connect a fuel pressure gauge or pressure sensor pick up, while the Honda/Acura regulator includes a custom barb fitting to connect the factory fuel line. Both regulators are tapped for -6AN or 9/16” x 18 fittings.
The Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator is manufactured and assembled in the USA. Comprehensive installation instructions are included with the regulator, and it’s backed by a limited 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
All 100% billet construction… This regulator features a Viton 3-layer diaphragm rated at 100 psi constant and 300 psi burst. It is totally adjustable from 30 psi to 100 psi. Like our previous design, it also has a separate port for the vacuum line. This allows for easier adjustment without having to remove your vacuum line each time. It is a direct bolt-in replacement for your stock regulator.
By installing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, it will enable you to tune your car to the way you want it to respond. It is also one of the first upgrades you need to make to increase fuel delivery.

6547 - 1984-1987 Turbo Regal - Billet Aluminum Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
A common problem with the fixed orifice in an ordinary regulator is that the fuel pressure cannot be effectively controlled when the fuel pump volume is significantly higher than stock. If the orifice is too small there is a large pressure spike associated with rapid deceleration because the orifice cannot flow enough fuel when the diaphragm is fully deflected to the open position. This causes a momentary rich condition, which may lead to a rough idle quality until the pressure stabilizes. Conversely, if the discharge orifice is too large it becomes difficult to adjust the fuel pump pressure because the response of the fuel flow out of the orifice is too rapid, which makes the adjustment screw too sensitive. The AEM Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator comes with 3 orifice sizes, 0.100”, 0.150”, and 0.200” to dial in the discharge port size. The orifice is easily changed once the diaphragm is removed and the procedure is detailed in the included instructions.
