    Founded in April of 2003

American Thunder Inc. is a nonprofit “War Veterans” organization (EIN: 32-0070275).

In short, our mission is to donate handicap accessible Hot-Rods and Muscle Cars to the men and women of the Armed Forces who have been severely injured in combat. Through Research and Development our goal is to equip these unique vehicles with technologically advanced chairlifts and hand controls that will allow disabled veterans the freedom they deserve. Though technology is slowly advancing, most of the equipment currently used in today’s hand-controls and chairlifts is big, bulky and outdated to say the least. We believe the soldiers of today and yesterday deserve more than having to drive around in “grandma’s van”, they should be able to drive a vehicle that gives them mobility, freedom and brings them alive as well as makes them feel good when they are behind the wheel and proud to have served and sacrificed for their country.
