  • Oh and just so you know an emergency brake has to be mechanical to pass state inspection. A hydraulic brake lock isn't allowed. This ^^^ regarding parking brakes.... might want to check with your local authority.

More specifically, I have a hydraulic brake lock on the way from JEGS which I just ordered online here at work and have yet to evaluate the potential project in its entirety.

In my many years of riding I’ve never had a hydraulic brake lock up on a personal bike, but have seen it happen on a few customers bikes that they drag in with the wheel stuck and not rolling!

But the link you have posted is for a manual line lock. It is much easier to install an electric line lock VS. a manual one.

Which hydraulic brake line lock

The brake lock valve is a very positive method of stopping or holding hydraulic brake pressure. It is especially valuable for rear disc brake conversions. It can be used to maintain brake pressure to use as a hydraulic brake lock. Unlike some other valves, this valve does not randomly release nor will it run the battery down like electric line locks. It is available for dual rear brake line or single rear brake line applications (see Item BLK1-400). These kits are primarily targeted for Suzuki Samurai's - however they can be adapted for use on Sidekicks, Trackers, and Toyota applications.
