KONI shock absorbers are designed for a specific car and even its special driving conditions. They are not a simple copy of the original, but a tailor made design to get the best handling and ride characteristics from the vehicle.
KONI shock absorbers are designed to improve the handling of the vehicles upon which they are installed. KONI specialists keep on testing and making changes until they are convinced they have reached their optimum blend of handling and comfort.
KONI shock absorbers are adjustable, which means that drivers can influence the behavior of their vehicle to meet their preferences for ride comfort and handling balance. This feature also allows the driver to adjust the shock absorber's dampening to compensate for wear which occurs over tens of thousands of miles.
KONI shock absorbers are built to last a lifetime. Once KONIs are installed on a vehicle, they will usually outlive it! KONI street shocks carry a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser for as long as they own their car.
DEPOSIT PAID 1996 Rover Mini Cooper 1.3 Si in red with white roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. This mini was supplied new by John Cooper Garages with a very high specification making it very rare and collectable. This included the S conversion bringing the power up to 85 BHP plus the handling pack with 165 width tyres and Koni shock absorber for additional stability and road holding. Externally it was finished off with red Cooper badges on the wheels and front and rear plus a discrete Si badge. As part of the conversion it had a Janspeed twin upswept exhaust system which has just been replaced with the correct Janspeed period part due to a recent limited production run. Internally it has John Cooper Walnut and alloy door furniture, signed volts, clock and oil pressure gauges and signed John Cooper / Motalita steering wheel. The works gear knob, alloy John Cooper door step plates and numbered conversion plaque finish off the interior detail. It also has a very rare twin petrol tank conversion by John Cooper Garages giving a 60's Cooper S feel and making it ideal for longer trips. This mini has been serviced by John Cooper Garages 12 times and after the garage closed by an ex employee who has known the car from new. I have the conversion certificate signed by John Cooper and a photograph of the car being handed over to the first owner by John Cooper outside his garage. The history file is remarkable with every bill and past MOT from new inc the original bill of sale and both sets of keys. It has covered just 28900 miles in the last 20 years and has just had a big service. This included all of the fluids plus new ignition parts and 4 new Yokohama tyres. The original number plate as supplied when new was N111MMO which the first keeper wanted to keep so it now has N111OVW. John Cooper was famous for his quirky number plates. This a 2 owner car from new and has always been garaged from day one until now, when not in use. The underside pictures will show the remarkable condition that this car is in. The genuine John Cooper Garage cars are the most desirable cars as unfortunately he is no longer with us or his garage making this piece of mini history even more special. An investors dream and very really found in this original condition. Free delivery in my enclosed trailer with in 200 miles of Tiverton.
